Learning Through Creativity
Hive Arts Academy program offers instruction and workshops in advanced art, sculpture, culinary arts, sewing and fiber arts, and engineering. Students participate in creative projects, hands-on workshops, educational field trips, and post-secondary preparation activities designed to build confidence, develop skills, and introduce them to future educational and career opportunities.
Through our partnership with Luna Fine Art Gallery, students participate in a visiting artist series that brings professional artists directly into the learning experience. Visiting artists share their techniques, experiences, and insights into the business and professional practice of art.
Students also have opportunities to exhibit and sell their work through Brilliant Star, A Luna Fine Art Gallery, located at the Hilton Pensacola Beach. These experiences give students valuable insight into presenting, promoting, and valuing their creative work. Their accomplishments extend beyond the gallery, with student artwork now held in private collections and students receiving commissions to create original artwork for collections displayed in professional offices and hotels. These opportunities allow young artists to experience firsthand how their creativity can become a meaningful part of public and private spaces..
Exploring the World through the Arts
Culture is an important part of the Hive Arts Academy experience. Throughout our programming, students explore countries and cultures from around the world through art, food, design, traditions, and creative practices.
These experiences encourage curiosity, cultural awareness, respect for differences, and a broader understanding of the world while inspiring students to see creativity from new perspectives.

What began as a desire to give local youth greater access to creativity and learning continues to grow into a community-driven effort to help young people discover who they are, what they can become, and how they can contribute to the future of their community.
